Read the long version →- NA Beer
- Brewed as beer, then de-alcoholised or fermented to stay under 0.5% ABV. US law lets anything under 0.5% be labelled non-alcoholic.
- NA Wine
- Wine with the alcohol removed by vacuum distillation or reverse osmosis. Most bars pour it by the glass from a half bottle to keep it fresh.
- Zero-Proof Spirits
- Distilled botanicals with no alcohol carrier. They give a mocktail the bitter, hot or herbal backbone that juice alone cannot.
- Mocktails
- Built like a cocktail: acid, sweet, bitter, dilution, garnish. The good ones cost nearly as much as the leaded version, for good reason.
- Kava
- A root drink (Piper methysticum) used ceremonially across the Pacific for centuries. Earthy, numbing on the tongue, calming rather than intoxicating.
- THC Seltzers
- Hemp-derived drinks kept under 0.3% delta-9 THC by dry weight, which is what the 2018 Farm Bill made federally legal. Dosed in milligrams, usually 2.5 to 10.

Four kinds, colour coded the same way everywhere on the site: fully alcohol-free bars and restaurants, sober-friendly rooms with a real zero-proof list, traditional kava lounges, and venues serving hemp-derived THC drinks. Every listing is checked before it goes live, and each one says which of the four it is.
Are kava and THC drinks legal, and are they safe?
Kava is legal nationwide. Hemp-derived THC drinks are federally legal under the 2018 Farm Bill when they stay under 0.3% delta-9 THC by dry weight, though some states restrict them further. Both can impair coordination and reaction time, so do not drive after either. Kava can interact with medications and affect liver function, so talk to a clinician first if you take prescriptions, have a liver condition, or are pregnant or nursing.
How do I find alcohol-free venues in my city?
Start at the states index, pick your state, then your city. Every city page lists the venues we have verified there with what they pour, a map, and the details we could confirm. 50 states + DC are live, covering 459 cities and 1,927 venues.
Is 0.5% ABV really alcohol-free?
Under US labelling rules, yes: anything below 0.5% ABV can be sold as non-alcoholic, which is roughly what you find in a ripe banana or a glass of kombucha. It is still not zero. Venues and products that are genuinely 0.0% are labelled as such on the site so the choice is yours.
